1. Of the 15 nations on the Security Council 14 voted in favor while Russia abstained, possibly for no other reason than not wanting to vote in favor of an American proposal.

2. What does it practically mean after Hamas has already rejected/not approved it? They claimed the wording of the second phase is too vague 

3. Hamas won’t accept it. Even if they do they won’t live up to their obligations and break it at the first opportunity.

   College students all over will blame Israel for it falling apart.

10. Well, I am glad UN Security Council agreed on ceasefire plan and I hope it will be in effect soon.

11. Great, what about the west bank? What about Palestinians getting a better state instead of just the leftovers the israeli settlers took. This is just a way of ending the war on Israel’s terms.

12. A hostage-prisoner swap?? That alone guarantees continuation of conflict. They are prisoners for a reason.

17. I too back the ceasefire of Gaza and it will have the same effect as the UN backing it up.

    It’s useless.

18. Israel has accepted, waiting on Hamas. The one’s losing and getting everyone to protest for a ceasefire keeps refusing or stalling, hopefully this will be different.
