Sunak is making Theresa May look like a master election strategist.
Rishi Sunak.” Well actually that is a 92% drop in unemployment from cough Labour £2000 tax rise cough 1984 cough £2000″
To be clear, unemployment has risen by just 0.1% from 4.3% to 4.4%. To put that into context unemployment in America is 4%, in Germany it is 5.9%, and in France it is around 7%.
Better import a load of people from 3rd world countries that don’t share our values to fix this problem then!

It’s also half the rate of what it was in 1990, less than 2000 and 2010. Also less than the EU average. Hate to think what it’d be like under benefit culture Labour
She should not be wearing gloves whilst using rotating machinery.
Just remember folks, the ONS fiddle with the numbers regarding what qualifies as unemployed to make the government look better. If for example you work a less than 10 hours a week you’re listed as employed – they did this because the zero-hour contracts nuking people on low pay were making their statistics look bad. Also, if you’re listed as self-employed (even if you aren’t actually working on anything or have any clients due to a slow period) you aren’t going to make the unemployment list. So take the number with a pinch of salt is all I’m saying.
Regarding the increase in unemployment generally, this would be likely down to long term sickness forcing people out of the workplace I’d suspect. That or more of the aging population getting out of the job market as they retire and / or are unable to continue working. In any case, unless workplaces adapt to become healthier environments (IE those that can work from home, stop forcing everyone back in the office would be a good start), the trend will just keep going up.
I work in metal working really quiet since Christmas sale reps and builders telling us all the same thing , feels like we are in a recession but we are not apprently .
