Everyone gets text message warnings, but you can always follow VOST on Twitter or Telegram, it’s a good, independent project that puts out useful and important information related to fires, etc., based on official sources.
we may get a sms message if it’s too dangerous in a specific zone, but for the most part, not really, since all fires tend to happen in mostly unhabitated zones.
as for floods, they can sometimes happen in the big cities in the downtown zones, but it’s never something like what’s happening in Brazil, where there is actual danger to lives.
