Woman claims Dunnes Stores discriminated against her by refusing entry to her and her children during lockdown

  1. Is she seriously trying to claim compensation because she brought her kids shopping during the fist wave? Absolute dose.

  2. So she was a lone woman accompanied by some children (which is a bit of a mouthful) and the security guard referred to her as a “single mother” (which isn’t much of a mouthful) to see if she could enter a store during a lockdown that required reduced numbers in store because of social distancing.

Sounds like someone is just after some money and she’s been told she has a case.

  3. Sounds like a Karen making shite up to be honest, best bit is her representing herself as a law student but then getting annoyed that the opposite barrister is being a barrister??

  4. This whole situation could have been very easily resolved in a very calm manner if she had just waited for the go-ahead from the security man. All he was doing was confirming that kids could tag along in the “priority queue” and keep track of the number of bodies in store.

I hope to God she doesn’t get rewarded for throwing around the “discrimination” card.

  5. think she wanted this confrontation for this purpose….just hope the court dismisses the case immediately and charges her the cost of the companies lawyers….not that I like Dunnes Stores or anything….

  6. For fucks sake, what a waste of the courts time for such trivial shite. How’s that one meant to get a husband with that carry on.

  7. What I don’t get is how the guard knew she was a single mother? Now she claims she told him but why? To look for some.sort of favorable treatment like skipping the queue? The she goes full Karen on the manager who did the right thing and walked away from her.

Fair play to dunnes for their gesture with the free food and then insisting the hearing fo ahead after some sort of deadline was missed. Seems ro me they want it know that they on no way treated this person unfairly

  8. >Jessica Bowes, an essential worker in a hospital emergency department, claims she overheard a security guard at the store call a manager and say: “I have a single mother here, can I let her in?”

gender identity assumption, marital status assumption, parental status assumption. take him away.

  9. She was so horrified by their behaviour that she felt she had to bring dunnes to court but not horrified to turn down 150 quid worth of free shopping

  10. Hopefully she’ll have to pay Dunnes’ costs when this gets thrown out. She sounds like an attention seeking nightmare.

  11. What a disgrace .

Karan actually comparing her silly tantrum , to the real suffering of girls at the hands of the catholic church .

I hope this is thrown out and she pays costs in full .

Her twitter apologising and explaining her use of the magdalene laundries. One of the comments, “People take offence to anything these days, regardless of how people mean or say what they say. There’s always people who’ll be offended. Professional offence takers so to speak”

Not sure if he is being sarcastic or so unaware to not realise she is suing for taking offence to being asked to wait like everyone else had to

  13. I am so sick of this nonsense and victimhood if she had just worked a 12 hour shift in sweaty PPE holding the hand of sobbing Covid19 patients undergoing intubation then I might listen to her otherwise come work with me for a day or just grow up and stop whinging 🙄🙄

  14. This is why it’s best to just refer to everyone as a cunt. No missunderstandings it’s fair on everyone can’t be said to be discriminating.
