There are no kilometer tall skyscrappers.
I spent a long time playing with this idea in the 2000s before cheap long life batteries were a thing –calculating the weights of various building types, hydraulic vs other energy recovery systems etc.
The days where this would be cheaper than mass produced batteries is long gone. It might make sense in mega structures someday in the future but probably not in this century.
