(32yo Asian woman) got harrassed by 4 roadman in Green Park
I was on my way to work this morning. As I walked along Curzon Street, a group of 4 road man came towards me and 1 of them jumped at me and screamed with his arms out like he is about to knock me over.
I was in shocked but confronted them “why did you just do that”. They started laughing and I went to the cafe next door and grab a can of coke as protection (please don’t ask me why). At this point no one even came to ask if i am okay. I then took my phone out to film them. They immediately pulled their hoodie over their head and avoid the camera.
I asked them to apologize and one of them snatched my phone away, refusing to give it back. Luckily, a group of older workers came to help me and it went on for another 5 minutes.
The group of young boys refused to give my phone back and threatened to fight until one of them said the police is on the way.
In the end, 3 of them apologized only because they want me to delete the evidence. Sadly, the person who harassed me first did not even apologize (he was the one with the black hoodie, hiding his face under the hood like a coward).
Note to all women and especially people of colour. Never be afraid to stand up for yourself and ask for help if you feel unsafe.

I seriously doubt there are ‘roadmen’ on Curzon Street, they sound just like idiot ‘kids’ from somewhere else wanting to cause rich people some bother.

What is a road man?
Sounds like an awful experience.
Not sure how the “especially people of colour” bit is relevant, though, when the majority of roadmen are in fact people of colour.
“Grab a can of coke as protection” lool, the UK really need to allow civilians with no criminal record and over a certain age to carry something for self defense. This is ridiculous.
Had you been in an actual life and death situation you would’ve been F***ED.
Wishing you the best of luck 🫡
