  1. A russian AF Su-25 can be shot down?

    War Thunder lied to us.

  2. Ukraine has been smoking cunts left right and centre for the last two weeks.

  3. I think it was so far out that it probably took binoculars to see in person. Mind you a jet is going to do whatever to get away, so the horizon may have gotten in the way or the clouds if the pilot climbed. Pretty sure they would fire another at it if they missed, high value/high priority target. FYI, the missile reaches about Mach 3.5 in a few seconds.

  4. Not to be a bummer in all, this but only way this was a shoot down was if the aircraft was damaged and verified to have went down some distance further on.

  5. The title states a MANPADS was employed to shoot down a RF SU-25.

Starting at 00:07, a distinctive lock-on confirmation sound is audible (*whizzing buzz*).

To me it sounds unlike FIM-92 “Stinger”(yt [link](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q0nuhI05QyA), around 01:10), or ex-soviet 9K38 “Igla” (yt [link](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nWXI5Wy9tXs), starting at 00:15), or Polish “Piorun” (yt [link](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9z3XScsJyWQ), at ~00:45).

Anyone have an educated guess what type of MANPAD this would be based on the audible lock-on and launch sounds (*Swedish RBS-70 seems unlikely, possibly english Starstreak/Starburst*)?

  6. I was hoping for a video I can scrub under the noses of prorus as proof, sadly we can’t see anything.

  7. they shot one down and another aircraft crashed today. not a good day for the russian airforce
