Centre-left (S&D) secures enough seats to govern with an overall majority in Portugal.

  1. Not a fan anymore of the center left and S&D in general – however that’s a pan-European issue – but I hope they can prove us wrong in at least some aspects.

  2. So everyone is talking about the rise of the far right in Portugal and it became news everywhere. But it seems like they’re still very small (even tough they’ve increased seats, they still don’t look important at all) and nothing compared to the far right in for example the Netherlands

  3. So what kind of policies can you look forward to? What promises did they make? I’m especially interested in the economic side, social policies are too country-specific for an outsider to understand IMO.

  4. do young progressives vote for PS? Because looking at the comments it seems that PS is exclusively pensioners party

  5. Guess those emigration rates for the young and educated are going to stay high, and the population pyramid inversion is only going to get more severe. Portugal firmly into Eastern Europe.
