The UN says more aquatic animals were farmed than fished in 2022. That’s the first time in history.

  1. As we continue to deplete the oceans and biodiversity keeps collapsing this trend will only continue. Unfortunately most fish farms and disgusting cesspools where fish are kept in over crowded holding areas and fed food that is often made from very questionable sources. They are also constantly fed antibiotics to prevent disease.

    Fish farms can be done sustainably, governments need to step in and start regulating these farms and inspecting them.

  2. The oceans are vast yet we’ve managed to empty them out of the fish we could easily have sustained for eternity. The same is happening in the rain forests and jungles everywhere.

  3. The problem is that farming fish are a scam, they grind up less desirable wild fish to feed the farm fish. Seriously where do you think they get all the food to feed to the farm fish? The farmed fish are also so densely packed that their waste poisons the water.
