7. The reason they are specifying it as an attempt is because the attempt wasn’t immediately successful and he was hospitalized for a couple of days in hopes for a recovery that was unsuccessful.

   So, the attempt was ultimately successful, but the assassination (in the sense of being immediately taken out) was not.

   Although, it’s just semantics.

8. Forgive me if I’m nitpicking but isn’t an assassination successful and not just attempted if the target dies?
