1. That is by design, not a flaw. Rich people help other rich people, screw everyone else.

    How about we simplify the tax system, stop having lots of rules and calculations which cost money to implement and audit and just have a nice progressive tax system with more high bands at £150k, £200k, £350k etc. No NI, and have a principle that we should reduce taxes before we increase benefits (because taxing anyone on any sort of benefits is just stupid – it costs money to collect tax and money to admin be benefits)

17. People who pay more tax in absolute values will benefit more from percentage cuts. Why is it a surprise and how is it unfair?

18. When there’s tax cuts the wealthy get thousands ,middle earners get a few hundred and low income get little or nothing.
    That’s the way it always is with tax cuts.

19. Why is this news? If you pay more tax, the tax cut as a whole will be more because it’s a percentage of earnings so a higher percentage cut
