Senior Russian diplomat: ‘We don’t trust British diplomacy’, it’s ‘absolutely worthless’

  1. Honestly I never thought I’d agree with Russian diplomats over anything, but I wouldn’t trust anything that comes from the Tories / Boris when they have proven their ability to write up agreements and then not only go back on everything they have written themselves, but also blame the other side for breaking the agreement they have broken themselves…. Brexit as one example.

Bunch of lying, back stabbing, self enriching wankers

  2. There are no words that can adequately convey the lack of surprise for how far the Cons in particular have devalued our Country in Global stock. There is no satire that can raise a rueful smile at how pointless sending the lying frat boy in chief out to speak on our behalf.

Our national currency is spent it will take a seismic shift in how we do business politically. How and who forms our Governments and how they are held to account. How we treat our selves over many years. Before we can be a voice to take seriously Globally.

  3. He’s probably right.

That said, comments from the Russian diplomatic service on British diplomacy are not delivered from a disinterested observer. They have their own agenda, and would probably say something like this, even if they did trust the UK.

  4. Boris, like Trump, is an International laughing stock.

No one believes him domestically nor abroad.

He’s a figure of derision, frankly.

  5. The Joke all started when Boris was given the Foriegn Ministers job with the correct expectation that he would fuck it up. The only miscalculation was that after failing on a monumental level he would simply dissappear, but unfortunately his failures gained him more power and now we all suffer for it.

  6. Boris : You won’t let us help you ! Fine you fucks, you won’t be invited to the next party ( which obviously isn’t happening!) !!

  7. This is the end result of voting in a party of incompetent wankers who goes back on their own word again and again and again…

I don’t trust the government either and I live here..

Can’t see how anyone else in the world can trust us either.

It’s a joke. We have literally got a joke government atm

  8. Let’s be honest the whole EU/Northern Ireland thing doesn’t put us in a good light does it. Untrustworthy and eager to go back on our agreements

  9. Johnson missed his phone call with Putin because he was too busy trying to save his own skin, Putin refused to reschedule. Johnson was supposed to announce an (pointless) alliance between Poland Ukraine and UK, but they needed Liz Truss there as well and she couoldn’t come because she’s got covid. Johnson flies back to the UK with his tail between his legs and nothing to say.

So got to agree with the Russians on this one.

  10. This is real rich coming from Russia. True or not, Russias diplomacy is even worse. Hence barely having any allies and their neighbours joining/wanting to join NATO.

Russia is completely irrelevant if not for their oil and aggression.

  11. Now there is a Russian with his head screwed on, why doesn’t the BBC employ him immediately if they are so fond of “balance”? Oh I forgot, they only like “balance” in the sense of lunatic beliefs.

  12. Huh, who knew that beeing a massive lying twat for decades will have consequences? 🤔

  13. Russia “no were not invading” Russia, Russia “oops did he get poisoned on UK soil? Oops shame if that happened AGAIN” Russia? Russias a complete outcast that we have to deal with due to their military and natural resources. There allies are rogue dictators and despots

  14. It’s been worthless since Johnson was foreign secretary under May. It got a lot worse when he became PM. After two years it is now irrelevant. Johnson spouting unsubstantiated twaddle to Putin is more likely to start a war than prevent it.
Incidentally, did he take his special aeroplane with him or does Truss have it for the weekend?

  15. rich coming from a bunch of murdering bandits that lie through their teeth and can’t be trusted further than you can spit…

  16. UK government is a shambles has been for 20 years+ now. Need a full reinvention of political parties

I wanna see Brandon with his nvq in politics from Leeds Community college go shake things up as pm. He has had 10 proper jobs though so realistically he has more experience in real life than all these oxford and Eaton wankers

  17. If UK diplomacy is devoid of reliability for Russia, how should one describe Russian international behaviour towards the UK (infiltrating British towns like Salisbury to target/poison Russian dissidents)? Does the word “savage” suffice? How about “glorified terrorism?”

  18. Russians talking about Trust ! Seriously, Its like Pot calling the kettle black . Russians are amassing troops by thousands on the border of a country whose territory they annexed only a few years back. talking of Trust !!

Looking at the comments here i don’t get why brits are so self deprecating and defensive. How can they not support it’s own government peace initiatives against a dictator threatening a friendly country.

  19. Leave it to the Tories to give the Russians the moral high ground in a diplomatic argument.

Putin is an asshole and a dictator as far as im concerned… but sending Boris and his mates to waggle their fingers at him is not a good look…

  20. It’s true, our government right now is as corrupt as they come, and about as trustworthy as the Russians also.

Best part about this thread, is the sheer number of people from the UK, admitting our governments a fuck up.

Instead of the thread being filled with brand new accounts defending the UK empire!

But, it does have to be said, likewise my Russian comrades, the lack of trust goes both ways I’m sure!

  21. We only break international law in very limited and specific ways. And renege on treaties six months after signing them. Who wouldn’t trust us?

  22. Well sorry Russia, but Putin funded and enabled the far right fascists back onto the world stage.

The first people he betrayed were his own, particularly those lost in the war, and now he’s squealing like this situation is some awful mistreatment of him and “his” country.

    Familiar eh?
