Russian president Vladimir Putin has made a ceasefire offer to Ukraine to end the war – demanding that Kyiv withdraw troops from provinces claimed Moscow and not join NATO.

Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Putin’s terms were “tantamount to surrender”, and the kind of language used by Adolf Hitler.

  2. Well what’s clear is that the 2022 deal is off the table. Biden and Johnson to blame for this debacle. Regarding current offer from Putin it’s bad but it could be worse tomorrow. West is sliding more and more towards a catastrophic defeat it looks like.

If Putin was serious he would call for a temporary ceasefire and negotiate but telling Ukraine to move all there arm out would be a disaster it would be game over what kind of cease fire deal is that Ukraine has no chance of joining nato only 6 countries approve they need all and will never get that Putin is using NATO as an excuse to attack Ukraine but because of Russia two other countries did join and that is Russia's fault

    a) They care about world opinion (They're NOT going nuclear)
    b) Russia is litigating for its assets to be returned (takes years – NOT nuclear bombs)
    c) Russia is desperate
    d) Russia has ZERO allies
    e) Russia feels isolated

  18. Ukraine is the same nation as Russia. If the war is stopped right now, no more people will be sacrificed. Also, I think a president of Russia, a powerful country, would be better for the people than a president of Ukraine.

  25. How is calling for peace an escalation? even if the conditions are a bit hard to reach, peace is peace.
