   Kimmich can do them very well too, and Pavlo has shown signs of being capable of this already as well.

3. Big respect for the scottish fans. They‘ve been great. No whistling during the anthem, still singing when their team was 4 goals down, friendly banter here and there. Just enjoying football and some beers.

4. Kroos and Wirtz show how valuable it is to have high-technique players. Their ability to distribute the ball meant Scotland couldn’t park the bus even if they wanted to.

   I really hope Bayern improve the Starting XI — whether it is one-touch counter football or a more in-your-face approach, you need ball skills to dominate the pitch.

   Adding a really good AM (Musiala and Sané as inside forwards) and a really good CM will cost 200m but basically make everyone play better, look better, be more consistent, and be more valuable.

5. One thing I loved about yesterday’s game (besides the total football Germany showed on the pitch) was how the scots went on about the game. You’d expect silence, but nah they sang and heck even not being a scottish myself, it gave me goosebumps when I heard the bagpipe. What a fine cultural display.

   Hope more moments like these will arise at the Euros, that truly give the vibes to this tournament.
