  1. I like its geography and nature. I’m a fan of Polish cuisine and think our language is cool. Our history is quite interesting, with a couple of major plot twists. Appreciate Poland being relatively safe too, both in terms of crime and some natural disasters.

  2. In Italy I can go to the beach or to the mountain in 1-2 hours wherever I live.

  9. My country (Romania) has mountains in the center so it’s easy to get there. I have fond memories of when I was playing on the road with friends during summer vacation.

  14. For a smallish corner of the UK, it does have some wonderfully varied scenery. Also people on the whole are pretty friendly, though every country has it’s dickheads.

    Pen, ysgwyddau, coesau traed, coesau traed! (Don’t ask why I chose this, it’s lived in my head rent free for years and the first thing that crops up when I think of a sentence in the language)

  16. In average, everything is great, we don’t really excell in anything other than beer consumption. It is not much, but it is honest life.

    Mountains are absolutely beautiful and it’s got amazingly marked hiking trails. Food’s also pretty good.

  23. I’m not sure if others feel the same way, but there is some sense of joy in speaking my own language? It’s like being a fanboy of your own native language, because of how mysterious and different it is?

  24. I like that in the begging of 2022 invasion (the war definitely started back at 2014) we were the hawks for sanctions against Kremlin and crowdfunded a Byraktar drone in just 3 days for Ukraine.

  26. Being able to translate between metric and imperial to our American and European friends. Ex: Driving over to the shops to buy a pint of milk, 1kg of potatoes, and a 2l bottle of coke to then refuel your 35mpg hatchback at the nearest petrol station, only to then get stuck in 3 inches of mud and after getting home finding out your neighbour left you a 1mm gap to park up. Later in the day going for a 2km walk to burn off that stone you put on over Christmas but it’s not too bad as it’s only a 100ft climb.

  27. I’m Irish. I love the fishing and nature we have (but I wish he had more native forest). I also love my folklore, mythology and my culture.

A lot of things, i love the forests, the little farms Solling lokal goods, the good train infrastructure (even though they could be better at time mangement), the great History (exept like ww2), the architecture of the old towns. The food, the classical music. Many things, people always talk down on ourselfs but its better then many people realise :).

    Deutschland ist schön, man muss sich nicht immer von der Politik runterziehen lassen.

  30. It’s not the best in the world, but best for me. People here are truly amazing and nothing can compare with growing up in small authentic Ukrainian village . I really enjoyed leaving here, this place has atmosphere and something i seek , but cannot find in any other country.

  33. I like living next to 56 nuclear reactors. Sometimes when I turn the light on I go “wow, nuclear fission did that”, and for a hairless mammal with thumbs it feels very satisfying. I like the fact that in victory as in defeat we always try to go above the limitations of the real, of the current orthodoxy (be it feudalism or neoconservatism), and beyond dull pragmatism.

    Je sais que si jamais notre espèce survit au grand filtre climatique, des humains loin dans les étoiles se souviendront qu’on a fait notre part.

    A country doesn’t stay relevant for 1500 years without this kind of long-term thinking, I guess.

  35. Let me think, because we’re bombarded with reasons not to like the country all day long😂 I am from Bulgaria.
    I like the mountains and the sea. I also like the food: shopska salad, tarator, and banitsa😘 perfect summer menu🙃 I like the rich history we have. I love both my hometowns -Plovdiv where I grew up – ancient, beautiful and calm, and Sofia, where I live now – modern, fun and fast paced (for Bulgaria, lol, don’t think it’s New York level of fast pace😂)

  36. The food, the history, and that we’re more chill and open-minded than we give ourselves credit for. No massive egos generally speaking compared to our neighbours up north or across the Med (just stupidity sometimes).

    Dicho esto, follamos mucho mejor que los ingleses. Maldita la hora en la que me mudé…

  37. France is a great place to eat (although I really love Italian food).
    It’s got diverse landscapes and pleasant people, even if they’re not the best English speakers in the world.
    France is a nice place to live… if you don’t get caught in a riot.
