The most memorable story from Stalingrad in WW2 that I think of during a Russian tank assault a tank gets stuck in a bomb crater. The commander gets out, shitfaced in typical Russian fashion, and executes the driver. Then you read memoirs from Russians in Chehnya and realize they haven’t fucking changed.
Slogan of the Russian Army should be: You cannot make that up.
