Don’t pay attention to what people/governments say, pay attention to what they **do**. For example, the Danish Government purchased 2 million iodine pills back in April, for context.
In a recent interview, the Serbian President additionally stated they were checking stocks of food, water, oil, etc, because a “big confrontation” (Is hesitant to use the terms “World War”) is likely within 3-4 months. Other news that was generally ignored is that Russia was actively building mobile nuclear shelters. There becomes a point where one shouldn’t ignore common actions & statements that span countries and governments. At this point, to ignore the red flags is borderline burying one’s head in the sand.
Everyone is entitled to live their life how they see fit. That said, I personally am adjusting a few things in terms of preparedness. I sincerely hope all this news and preparation is for nothing. (For context, my career is in Emergency Management.)
I believe this is the full interview:
At about the 19-20 min mark is where he mentions that we are 3-4 months away from a big confrontation, if not before that.
Min 24 is where he mentions checking various supplies because he doesn’t know what tomorrow will bring. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AZIDLlqh-Oc](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AZIDLlqh-Oc)
Keeping a few weeks worth of food and water on hand is generally a good idea in case something bad happens. Natural disasters and such. Iodine pills can help with the water bit.
Denmark’s recommendation to keep iodine pills handy feels a bit like getting ready for a surprise pop quiz in chemistry class – except this time, everyone gets an ‘A’ for preparedness!
Denmark was stocking up on iodine pills two years ago in case of a nuclear disaster triggered by the Russia Ukraine war. I couldn’t access any of the articles in English about the current government recommendation and I’d like to ask: is it related to the same war or are there any other reasons they asked the population to stock on food and iodine pills?
Im going to secretly replace all their crisis supplies with Korean spicy noodles
I don’t think there’s anything like a limited nuclear war.
