I’m not a resident and I don’t speak German. I got this traffic violation fine and I’m struggling to figure out how exactly shall I pay. I got the IBAN and BIC parts, but what are these two bottom lines (in black printed over red)?

  1. The Verwendugszweck. You enter this string so that they know what fine that transfer is referring to.

  2. Yup Verwendungszweck is the „Purpose of payment“ so they are able to assign the payment to your case. 🤓🖖🏻oh be sure you use Both Lines Like This: Verwendungszweck: 7407xxxxxx EU-AVxxxxx

  3. Last time i got one, there wwas a webpage mentioned in the letter.
    There i could pay via paypal

  4. One more thing: Since this was a ticket you got while using an Avis rental car, be prepared for an additional charge by Avis for forwarding your information to the authorities.

  5. As said enter the two rows in your online banking, it the reference number.

    Be aware, since the car was from Avis (or one of their sub-brands), they will charge you an addtional 29,75€ fee for processing the traffic violation fee…
