Proper order. He’s either completely inept or unstable. It also sounds like he may have been misleading in his report judging by the original press release from the police. Then there’s the damage to the car.
Needs to be sacked. Absolutely no excuse for that sort of animal cruelty.
Honestly really pissed me off this. I’m not a reactionary person, so I watched the source video because the headline seemed so bizarre. Why was a cow loose in London? Was this some kind of accident?
What a fucking arsehole. I’ve absolutely no other conclusion. The calf posed no threat, it looked confused…. Probably from being in London somewhere. The trained professionals solution to the dilemma? Ram it with a car… Let it start to get up, then ram it again.
Fuck off. I’d like to think this guy will be barred but I doubt it somehow.
This is not the first time the police have used their vehicles to kill a cow, so expect no consequences for the officer involved.

Right and will he be charged with something? What the fuck is that about, imagine if it was some random member of the public ramming a cow
I wouldn’t be surprised the officer is only facing repercussions because the home secretary has gotten involved.
It’s distressing to watch but the officer clearly stopped in order to trap the cow, not kill it. It didn’t break any bones and looms worse than it was. Hopefully the farmer was charged for the multiple hour operation to retrieve the cow.
A lot of shit in that article. ‘Why didn’t they use a tranquillising dart’. Because they aren’t a thing. Unless you were expecting the chap to weigh the cow and calculate the correct dosage first. Ramming it with a car isn’t particularly appropriate, but if they’re honestly worried about the cow hurting people, the alternative is to shoot it. Probably quite a lot of times given the police use 5.56mm rifles, which aren’t made to kill large animals.
First time I’ve actually watched the video – and WTF?
It’s a small cow. Farmers are somehow able to manage there daily. Ramming it so fast with the car is an absolutely bonkers way to respond to it.
