Hey everyone! Thought it would be a fun idea to do match threads for the England and Scotland games in the 2025 Euros 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Unfortunately we missed doing a thread on Friday for Scotland, however we’ll make sure we won’t make the same mistake in future.

Tonight’s match between England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 and Serbia starts at 8 pm and is being played at Arena AufSchalke in Gelsenkirchen, with a capacity of just under 55,000 for international matches.

  1. Obviously there are far, far more important things than football going on, but everything/body feels strangely subdued in regards to the Euros, which is especially weird considering that (all memes aside) I genuinely don’t think it would be all that shocking to see England win it?

    Anyway, hopefully we see a good performance tonight and a bit of excitement start to build.

    Edit: Oh wow. Guessing people don’t agree that England have a chance at winning the Euros.

  6. Haven’t flicked over from ITV yet and nothing marks the start of the euros like them showing clips of all the recent football violence in Germany. 😂

    Anyway. It’s coming home! No real surprise in the starting 11. As a villa fan, I’m hoping Konsa gets a good run out as he was spectacular in the friendlies and he’s a big presence for us.

  8. Hopefully they go deep again this year. I do think this will be Southgate’s last tournament and putting my feelings towards him aside it is crazy to think back to how bad we were before and how much he improve us like when we were getting embarrassed by Iceland in 2016 for example
