World leaders gather at Ukraine peace summit

  4. The Chinese Premier is in Australia, that’s where the Chinese see far more importance than a gab-fest in Europe where less than half of the world’s countries have supported Ukraine.

  5. Lasting peace in Ukraine will need a referendum that gives the population a chance to decide for themselves whether to be Ukrainian or Russian. For years there has been an armed conflict between the Ukraine government and "separatists" in the Russian-speaking areas. The current war is just the latest phase of this conflict..
