  1. Sheesh, that’s a very old looking abandoned building. Can EU send money to help build a shopping mall in its place?

  2. Not to diminish OP at all, exiting from that station is **really** cool, even more at night when the lights are on, but I always, always recommend if someone is to see Colosseum for the very first time, to do it not from this metro station, but with a little walk down Via dei fori imperiali.

Yes, it would require exiting from different station and taking this small walk, but it is basically an huge avenue, but very atmospheric and at it’s end this building suddenly appears, but you have to still make your way to get closer to it. For me it has more of a WOW factor. At least, til this day I remember how breathtaking it was for me 😉

  3. I remember vividly climbing up an escalator in Milan and surfacing only to see the Duomo for the first time. Had to pick my jaw off the floor.

  4. It’s the Italian version of stepping out of cologne main station and looking up at the Dom.

  5. You might also see a bunch of Roman soldiers walking around when you go through the exit and if you’re like me you’ll just be awestruck by the Colosseum and these Roman soldiers that when you start taking pictures with them and having a laugh because they pretend to stab you in the dick and pretend to capture your soon to be fiance you won’t even be that mad that they then ask for 20 euro and if you’re also like me you’ll be more than happy to give it to them and then if you’re also like me you’ll realize that you just fell for a brilliant tourist trap and proceed to say “fuck, I can’t believe I fell for that”.

Add your own commas and periods. I’m a busy man.

  6. I really loved the historic center of Rome, but holy hell the city is dirty and garbage is everywhere 🙁 You guys need to do something about it.

  7. Pffft.. Booring.. Get ready what you’ll see while getting out of the main train station in Bratislava. That will get your blood pumping!

New location: Bratislava Central Train Station

Quests: >Don’t step in puddle of suspicious liquid/s.

    >Deny ciggy to homeless guy/s.

    >Escape: Find actually good place to see in Bratislava.

What is your next step traveler?

  8. Rome is the eternal city. No other city in the world can compare. Venice is also beautiful, Firenze is lovely and I could go on and on about Italy. I live abroad since 2012 and I miss my country so much. I am so disappointed by the political class and the Italian government…and I can’t go back because I woudn’t be able to afford the life I have now. What a shame.

  9. Yea i was in the same situation, like i thought i’d have to walk to it like to a tourist atraction, then i just walked out and… wow. it rly makes an impression in-person.

The whole Rome is like this, you just walk and boom – 2000 year old building right there in front of you. then a normal city, then another ancient structure or whatever. it rly left a big impression on me.

PS. the memes about Italian pizza are not false, best pizza i’ve eaten im my life, everywhere. there are thousands of small privately-owned pizza places with great food. that was 80% of the food i’ve eaten there on my 5-day trip
