2. These heroes deserve equal standing amongst all proud Ukrainians. Slava Ukraine!

Much like Black Americans and Japanese Americans during the Second World War, it’s kind of a shame that Queer Ukrainians and other minorities have to prove their patriotism and right to equality by risking their lives in a destructive war. I know that it’s a very traditional country, but I also hoped that we would learn from the other civil rights movements in the past.

   I am 110% behind Ukraine, and I’ll happily contribute my tax dollars to funding its defense to protect democracy and the Ukrainian people while sparing many European, American, and Canadian lives, including my own.

   I just hope that when this war is over and Russian fascists are kicked out on their ass, Ukraine will become a shining beacon of liberty for all of its citizens, regardless of where they were born, who they call God, who they identify as, or whoever they love.
