As a southerner I always connect this kind of spotless clean places to north Europe, so they always look cold to me.
Looks dead.
What a beautiful place! Thanks for sharing.
I heard its kinda depressing in the winter /s
Looks a lot like Transylvania / Sibiu. (Although maybe it should be the other way around?)
Visited a friend in Slovakia in autumn 2003.
I loved it. Bratislava was beautiful mostly, apart from looking across the river to Petrzalcha, which looked like a shipping container port! (Just rows of low-rise apartments).
Went north to a couple of towns, bought string (goats?) cheese from an older lady by the side of the road – tasty!
I’d love to visit again.
I wanted to visit Bratislava in November but just one day before the government announced that Slovakia goes into lockdown so I canceled that trip (would have been on a night train, so I basically canceled it just a few hours before heading to the train station).
Now it’s on my bucket list for this year! 😀
Love Bratislava, make sure to go to Verne and have the duck with potato pancakes!
Reminds me of the movie Eurotrip. But not in a negative way!
