  1. > Clark shot back: “You have voted to restrict abortion access with legislation.”

    > “I have,” Holtorf responded. He added he believes women should choose life at every opportunity, but that there should be “exceptions” to restrictions on the practice.

    > “Is one of the exceptions when Richard Holtorf is the father?” asked Clark.

    Sweet. Good interviewer.

  2. >**A Republican running against Lauren Boebert** for the US House was caught in an awkward moment when grilled about paying for a girlfriend’s abortion decades ago.

I wonder how many aboritons Lauren Boebert has had.

    >**Richard Holtorf,** a member of the Colorado state House of Representatives running in the Republican primary for the House, revealed earlier this year that **he had financed an abortion** a girlfriend asked him to pay for when she became pregnant in his early 20s and Holtorf was a college student.

    >**Holtorf also revealed in his efforts to explain his remarks that a second girlfriend who became pregnant**

Holtorf isn’t responsible with his own reproductive system yet he wants to use the law to dictate to you how to manage yours.

  3. “Is one of the exceptions when Richard Holtorf is the father?” asked Clark.

“No! It’s not about me!” Holtorf responded. “Don’t personalize it and make it about me.”

    He got one thing right.

    It’s not about you, asshole.

  4. This guy is the worst in duplicitous politics. His loss will be richly deserved.

  5. Come on guys, everyone knows that you get a free pass for murdering a child as long as you’re a republican and it happened several decades ago. Cut him some slack.

  6. That abortion was okay because it helped me, personally. Just like how the dozens of abortions Trump was responsible for, from the 1970s on, helped him. I wonder if any of those former tri-state area prostitutes are even still alive, or did they get a visit from some bent-nosed Trump goon to “silence” them before 2016, so they wouldn’t *crop up* and tell their stories.

  7. Kyle Clark is a very good moderator and interviewer. I may be biased because he works for a local station, but I really believe he’d be one of the best picks for a presidential debate.

Not that that’s on the table, but he’s really good at genuine, quality journalism, and that’s pretty rare nowadays.

  8. I don’t know if this interview would be excruciating. I think it might be hilarious.

  9. The only moral abortion is my own. Like the young Christian woman who came to an abortion clinic, had her abortion, and then left saying “You are still murderers”.

  10. “Pro-life” is just male chauvinism with branding—men being in charge of women’s bodies. That’s why he can say he “honored” his ex girlfriend’s decision, basically giving her permission, and still think he’s the good guy.

Maybe if every woman in Colorado asks nicely, they can be allowed some bodily autonomy too. /s

  11. Geezus what another PoS we have here. It’s wrong until I do it, then it’s okay. Fuck right the hell off.

  12. I have no doubt that nearly 100% of the politicians and religious leaders beating the Pro-Life drum would push for an abortion if an unwanted pregnancy in their personal lives threatened their family, career, social standing, or power. Zero fucking doubt.

  13. It’s funny to me that people think we’re going to survive this with something that still looks like ethics and morality. Get what you can out of this machine while you can. Don’t look to it for guidance, but definitely exploit it. This is what rises to the top of our political system

  14. This will probably make him even more popular with the Republican base in that district.

It’s crazy how Ken Buck seems like a sane moderate in comparison to all these candidates. He was no moderate, not even close. He said a lot of ignorant things when he ran for Senate.

  15. Shameless hypocrites, every last one of them. Republicans are scum.

  16. You’d think he’d be better prepared with a well-sculpted take. Bad fumble. He’s lucky his opponent is such a loser.

  17. “Is one of the exceptions when Richard Holtorf is the father?” asked Clark. This has to be the biggest burn of all times.

  18. Before they ban abortion, maybe they could go around and lock up everyone who has had one and paid for one, including themselves. Once a significant chunk of the US population is doing life/death row for “murdering a baby” in the past, we can move on to preventing it in the future.

Or, these people could actually fuck off and find worthwhile hobbies instead.

  19. Everyone who wants abortion banned should have to disclose whether or not they ever funded one for a partner, and everyone who uses the insult “groomer” should have to publish their own browser history.

    No more mercy for hypocrisy.

  20. If republicans gain power, all abortions will be illegal.

  21. The hunger for money and power in politicians—not just to serve—blinds people from the reality of how much their past will be scrutinized once in office. It shows glaring ignorance, but the “Pro-life” party is blindingly stupid with some of the points they attempt to drive home.

  22. Well that was different you see … it was a demon child … from … oh wait

  23. > Holtorf also revealed in his efforts to explain his remarks that a second girlfriend who became pregnant chose to give up their child for adoption.

Am I missing something? “The girlfriend” decided to give up his baby and he didn’t take custody…so he ALSO gave up his child to adoption, funny how he seems to say he had nothing to do with it

    What a sleaze bag

  24. Like all modern republicans, hypocrisy goes with the job. There is no way to be a member of the modern GOP without being a raging hypocrite on a range of issues.

  25. “Don’t personalize it and try to make it about me.”
“You told the story on the house floor…”
    “It doesn’t matter!”

These people are infuriating. There is no winning an argument with them.

  26. “I respected her rights and actually gave her money to help her through her important, critical time so she could live her best life.”

It is so close to self-awareness! It is so very close!

  27. He should have kept his di#k in his pants and carried around a box of condoms. He got **Two** unwed women pregnant with unwanted pregnancies? Then dares to say women should not have a choice?
