Hamas changes to ceasefire deal are unworkable, says Blinken

Hamas has proposed numerous changes to the proposal that was on the table we discussed those changes last night with Egyptian colleagues and today with the Prime Minister some of the changes are workable some are not here in a nutshell is where we stand a deal was on the table that was virtually identical to proposal that Hamas put forward on May the 6th a deal that the entire world is behind a deal Israel’s accepted and Hamas could have answered with a single word yes instead theas waited nearly two weeks and then proposed more changes a number of which go beyond positions that had previously taken and accepted as a result and you heard the Prime Minister say this uh the war that Hamas started on October 7th with its barbaric attack on Israel and on Israeli civilians will go on more people will suffer more Palestinians will suffer more Israelis will suffer but in the days ahead we are going to continue to push on an urgent basis with our partners with cter with Egypt to try to close this deal

The US secretary of state, Antony Blinken, has said Hamas’s response to the latest proposal for a ceasefire in Gaza included ‘numerous changes’, of which some were ‘workable, and some are not’.

  1. Liar. Israel will never agree to peace. President Carter ttied to get Anwar Sadat, snd Menachem Begin at Camp David to sign an accord. The president of Egypt, said yes, the Israeli said absolutely no! Israel never ever seeks a peaceful resolution. Yor lying. Hamas said yes we will release all hostages yes, we agree, ISRAEL said no!

  2. Netanyahu never qccepted the deal, his right wing coalition partners threatened to pull all support, which wpuld lead to the collapse of bibis govt. Blinken as usual, is lying.

  3. A deal? Any usa deal is a death wish! You honestly think Hamas will trust you? Your integrity and respect is long gone.

  4. Yeah its not workable because its a fair one where Israel is not the Overall winner taking advantage by not following whaterver afterwards.

    ongoing ,

    It's never going to end.

  6. Blinken is a frigging story teller , he forgets all these talks are recorded . It’s America and Israel who are using twisted word salad to delay and delay anything that changes the direction of the Genocide these two partners in war are engaged in .

  7. Hamas started this…but will not lose face…to the detriment of the innocent civilians.they planned hostage abduction purely to complicate the campaign..

  8. Blinken is working NOW as Secretary of Israel state and, as PART-TIME JOB is working as Secretary of state for the United States.

  9. Hamas has no desire for a ceasefire. Sinwar actually believes that the higher the Palestinian casualties, the better it is, politically, for Hamas.

  10. Nice trick words.
ONLY simple people believe the leader's of world terrorism such Biden , from tenth of year's USA sells weapons and planning of crisis in world to subjugate the people look to their history in Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq…
To understanding the world terrorism comes from where usa diplomatic of killing.

  12. have never seen a hypocrite and a liar in my life like Blinken. Here is a protective statement for those who want to be sure in which he says that Israel did not originally agree to the proposal and that the proposal did not contain a cease-fire, nor about the return of the displaced, nor the exit of the Israeli forces

  13. Netanyahu has not said he's accepting the deal. Qatar says theyve receuved nothing from Israel or Hamas. US needs to offer guarantees on permanent ceasfire. Also, all settlers need to go back into israel and 1967 borders be officially recognised by the International community.

  14. Yes, we remember, Blinken. The same deal that CIA Williams Burns, Qatar and Egyp put together, and Hamas accepted but israel did not, and went on to mass acre hundreds more innocent Palestinians.

  15. Hamas has been betrayed so many times already when making agreements involving israel. This time they need to be firm with their conditions. The ceasefire was not been made yet because in this latest agreement Hamas asked that israeli soldiers to retreat from Rafah border crossing and Hamas would not be there either. Hamas wants Rafah border crossing not to be controlled so that medical aid and food can go directly to those in need. If Hamas does not make such conditions, even if a ceasefire manage to be made, israel will monopolize and disrupt humanitarian aid trucks and can still give the israel side an opportunity to torture the Palestinian people. If that still happen, what is the main purpose of the ceasefire anyway??

  16. Who Trust the United States who Openly support this Genocide indiscriminately! This all about November Elections which Trump agree that Biden is Genocide Joe!

  17. Negotiation is not one side gets what they want and the other is doomed to elimination. New negotiators please!

  18. How is that humanitarian aid your are ensuring gets in, getting in? Let's not get side-tracked by your non-negotiation negotiations.
