D-Day 80: World falling into ‘same traps’ of tyranny says War Horse author

I’ve had a life until very recently which has been peaceful we sort of all have yes we’ve had difficulties and unpleasantness is and all the rest of it but we have lived by and large in peace well that was a a peace that was given to us by these people it didn’t happen by accident they had to get rid of tyranny and fascism before we could live that life so they gave us that now what have we done with it that’s the interesting thing what have other countries done with it and yes we seem to be falling into the same trap um of um tyrannical regimes rising up and then threatening others we don’t seem to have learned and maybe that’s the I don’t know maybe there’s something in humanity that doesn’t seem to be able to learn the big lessons um and I find that sometimes found really depressing but I mustn’t be depressed because there is hope

  1. Its government who own war, its government who fund war with our money, its government who push war, its government who start war and its government who end war…. yet the public fight in their war.
If you cant understand the lesson that needs to be learnt hear then you will be the citizen that fails its own people.

  2. We are now experiencing the least amount of wars in world history😊 when you look at history there was Wars everywhere throughout time😢

  3. Very well said. Yes, we do seem not have learnt the big lessons of how to work on maintaining world peace for peaceful countries but there is hope. I do believe too that there is always hope.

  4. Was it the fault of tyrannical regimes that the US and its sidekick invaded Iraq and Afghanistan? Or the big lessons only apply to Europeans?

  5. Basically, what he's saying is that we're breeding a condition for revolution. Because the only way things are going to change is it we fight for it again?

  6. Both "sides" think he's speaking about the other, i always try to remneber it might not be best but its better than it was.

  7. The people who always bang on about "getting rid of fascism" never seem particularly vexed about getting rid of Communism. Crypto-communists and leftie marxists perhaps?

  8. Anybody still supporting the tories or are choosing to support reform just know you would likely be the exact same people who would've supported the Nazis or Mussolini back then

  9. I think the tyrannical systems have learned the lessons from the past. That’s why they are slowly pushing a 1 world government through a slow ideological method rather than by brute force. If they had it their way we would all be controlled by the 1%

  10. Something in humanity you mean most people on the planet who don’t have a vote don’t have any money don’t have any agency don’t have any education you’re blaming them. I’m not the sick little Oxbridge kids that you hang out with who have all the things above and with that power execute, a world of horror and misery start looking into your own self mate
