This guy is my buddy. He made friends with me while walking my dog 2 years ago. He and his missus had a clutch of chicks last year that they raised and by by winter they all migrated. This year he's back with a new girlfriend and currently attempting a second egg clutch. The First failed due to the cold weather but I reckon the second one should be golden. He's such a good daddy swan, really aggro with predators and people, protective of his family but for some reason he thinks I'm cool. So that makes my day.

I’ve become friends with an absolute bastard of a crow. He won’t allow any other crows (except his missus) into the little park he rules with an iron fist. Hates pigeons and will dive bomb them on sight. His contempt for the squirrels is palpable. It’s not so much that I feed him, more that he will occasionally deign to accept a peanut as a token of my fealty.
I noticed a fledgling with him and his other half the other day and am delighted for my little corvid buds.
Didn’t they name a pub after you and him in Peep Show.

We used to buy swan food when we lived on the river. Swans, geese and ducks lose their shit over that stuff. Love to see the landings when they come to you.
I use to go and see a female swan every week every time she saw me she would flap her wing and come over to me with her babies and fed tem sweet corn long sory shot she’s moved on but one of her babies is all grown up with his own family now
