12. If this is true, then it is a sign that Putin has important issues regarding trust, thus he starts appointing relatives (or long time friends) in high positions. Most of the time such persons are not competent in any way and may even hinder the work of experts in their ministries.

    It is another sign that Putin is in survival mode. He does not trust others because in the past they lied to him like, for example, about the state of Ukrainian army and how their population will welcome Russia? About the lack of preparedness of his own army? Who knows. Maybe both and much more, but it is clear that his circle of trusted advisors is shrinking. He may be even more erratic from now on. That is good in a way because he will make even more mistakes. On the other hand it will lead to even more sensless attacks against Ukrainians and countless more Ukrainian deaths.
