  1. Bit rich of an unelected Lord to accuse someone who has to work for their position in the legislature of being lazy.

  2. Not really a surprise that a co-founder of Stonewall has a problem with someone like Duffield. Hopefully she loses her seat.

  3. Meanwhile duffield can

And suffer zero consequences, meanwhile so much as reference the well-known fact she’s a terrible local mp who cares far more about yelling at trans people on twitter [than helping her constituents](https://x.com/pellowponders/status/1801675875827487073) and you get instantly screwed.

  4. I’ve been British all my life and I’ve never heard the word ‘frit’, is it common?

  5. >Lord Cashman later wrote on Twitter: “I apologise unreservedly for a post that I put out regarding the Labour candidate for Canterbury. I fully understand any complaints that will be sent to the Labour Party.”

An ill thought-out comment and an apology. Doesn’t feel like there’s much to this story. I’d hope the whip is restored and we can all move on.

  6. He shouldn’t apologise. If you aren’t allowed to criticise you’re not in a political party, you’re in a cult.

The fact duffield doesn’t live in, or even close to her constituency is a joke in itself.

  7. Won’t somebody think of the poor transphobe’s feelings? 😞

  8. there is a degree of irony in this, yet threats of violence etc are always awful
