  1. “Fiona Murphy SC, defending, said that her client had “difficulty facing up to the case” but now accepts the verdicts of the jury and is remorseful.”

In other words now that he hasn’t gotten away with it, he says he is sorry.

  2. Straightforward case, immediately reported, clear physical evidence. Still took five years in the courts.

Remember stuff like this next time someone lies to you about reoffending rates for rapists being low to justify their pathetic sentences, purely because they can’t be convicted in time to be captured in the statistics.

  3. Hopefully it won’t be yet another suspended sentence. Such a brave young lady, may she find justice and peace of mind.

  4. “The court heard he has no previous convictions and comes from a good, hard-working family.”

  5. >The court heard he has no previous convictions and comes from a good, hard-working family and plays for the local rugby club.

No more than a 18 month sentence then. Because Daddy and Mammy being in employment and playing local sports are naturally a negating factor in sentencing.

  6. My reading of this was he was pissed couldn’t get it up so raped her with objects instead, meaning he got no physical gratification from it and instead caused her serious injury. There is a special place in hell for a sadistic cunt like this guy. Fair play to her for letting him be named and hopefully it’s a 10+ year sentence.

Glad the judge is Tony Hunt here.

  7. What a woman ❤️ I hope she finds all the happiness in this world x
