Real antisemitism is absolutely a problem but its also got to a point where even Jews who do not support the actions of Israel are being called antisemetic.

Makes sense. Trump seems insincere and isn’t trustworthy. Also the last time Trump kindof mucked about and seemed lost, no offense or anything. I remember a lot of people turning on Trump, like 10 people publicly quit his office, all in a row, one after the other. Not a good look. I remember people asking the president of the United States to please stop using Twitter all the time and focus on the job. Bizarre spectacle to see. I remember the economy dropping and the military establishment concluding that Trump couldn’t be trusted with the bomb. I don’t really get why Trump wants the job this time, to be honest -wasn’t good at it last time! Just quit, man. It’s ok. Other people who care about politics will step up to take care of the country
Many anti-Semites like to say something like “criticism of Israel is not antisemitism” every time an article about antisemitism pops up. They show up like clockwork every time. What they don’t seem to realize is we’re not talking about criticism of Israel. Nobody considers that antisemitism. Even the most hardcore Zionists criticize Israel all the time. What the people saying this are trying to do is drive the discussion away from the actual antisemitism we are seeing on the streets, in college campuses, and in corporations worldwide. Jews are getting assaulted and harassed all over the place just for being Jews. This has nothing to do with Israel or criticism of Israel. These are attacks directed at Jews simply because they are Jews. That is what we are talking about. Not criticism of Israel. The antisemites don’t want us to talk about the antisemitism we’re seeing by making the discussion about Israel, not about antisemitism. So when you see an article and you see people saying “criticism of Israel is not antisemitism”, you know what they’re trying to do and you know who they are.

As an American I’m not too surprised; Trump rubs shoulders with actual antisemites, like MTG and Nick Fuentes. The entire conspiratorial branch of the right—i.e. Q-anon—that Trump has sprung from is rife with open antisemitism.
I imagine the headline could surprise some Jews outside the US, who might not be aware of the above, or who have the war in Gaza top of mind, which Biden hasn’t supported unconditionally in contrast to Trump.
Anyone who isn’t a Christian Nationalist knows that Christian Nationalism is a problem for most of us.
Anecdotally, one of the most liberal, bleeding heart liberals I know has started speaking out against things like DEI, affinity groups, and even refused to teach an antisemitism lesson because they didn’t think it went far enough into the Israel/Palestine debate and they didn’t want to be a “token Jew” to teach the lesson.
They are now hosting Republican candidates at their house. They have hinted that they may vote for Trump, and their spouse is going to vote for Trump. Before this, I don’t think they ever even voted for a Republican.
On Oct 7th, leftists took the mask off on TikTok and it was fucking *BANANAS*. People I liked and respected let out a visceral hatred of Jews without bothering to church it up at all and say “Zionists”. That lame little attempt to cover up who they really were didn’t come up until a couple days afterwards. Just straight up videos of tankies cheering to a stitched video of the truck girl gang rape. “tHiS Is whAt dEcoLoniZaTiOn loOks lIkE”. If these dumb dumbs ever set foot in Gaza they would be flayed alive after a month of underground rape. Most of them are white women with Dolezal syndrome who are desperate to be perceived as minorities. The shit they said that day is wiiiiiiillllddddd and I will never forget who they really are.
Actually, I think the hundreds of thousands of people being starved and ground to dust in Gaza are a more serious problem than some protests on college campuses that make Zionists uncomfortable.
