David Lammy in favour of Palestinian recognition

and as possibly the next foreign secretary labor will back an independent Palestinian State we have always said that a two-state solution is where we’ve got to be there are some that reject a two-state solution effectively they want no State continuing as we are or one state which isn’t going to work um for that reason I hope that we do get this ceasefire this deal that the security Council uh adopted a couple of days ago and that we can move to Palestinian recognition it is not an end in in itself but it is a desire by my party uh for now many many years because we all know ultimately that we have to have two states that are secure with dignity that can live side by side

🗣️ ‘I hope that we do get this ceasefire and that we can move to Palestinian recognition’

David Lammy lays out Labour’s stance on the Israel-Hamas conflict, insisting a two-state solution is the only way forward

  1. Hamas reject a 2 state solution and have done for over 80 years. Is he completely failing to understand the problem?

  2. Palestinians waste their money on attacking others for decades. UN and US have given them billions but instead of building up and improving their territory they waste it on weapons

  3. The muslims hamas wants to kill all jews. Then the christian. There can never be peace as long as islam exists.

  4. Yes! at least someone in power have some sense. Happy to see the narrative is changing. Slowly but surely

  5. There will never ever be a state called “Falastin”. The terrorist embracing Arabs put an end to that forever.

  6. Britain is about to install a left wing government that recognises a terrorist state as legitimate.
