sir Ian McKellen screamed help me my arms after he fell head first off a West End stage which left fans in tears the 85-year-old lost his footing and fell off the stage while starring in player Kings at the null coward theater last night a spokesperson for the theater said sir Ian is in good spirits and is expected to make a speedy and full recovery the show was then cancelled and the audience was evacuated from the premises it is understood that this happened during a fight scene and he fell off the front of the stage the set was reportedly covered with broken up bricks and daggers for the battlefield scene audience member Cole Baker told the mail that sir Ian tripped over some props and fell off the stage in almost a belly flop fashion instantly he screamed and honestly the noises were bone chilling the lights were on so quickly the curtains drawn and within seconds they asked to evacuate the whole Auditorium another audience member Charlie Johnson told ITV I think what happened was he put his foot too far he lost his balance and pretty much just went head first into the audience the star was heard crying out in pain as star rushed to help him audience members in the front two rows also helped him
