It’s nice to see EU and Turkey working on these projects together, despite everything.
Nice. Hopefully it’s a good demonstrator and has means of using minimal quantities of water.
“That’s a recurring theme on biofuels generally for aviation. You startoff saying ‘jet fuel’ and then you start producing products and a lot of them are pretty fungible. They end up cosmetics, food, replacing petrochemicals.””

There are such indoor tube plants in Germany [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XpRJOufIv5M](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XpRJOufIv5M)and Austria (During the first Corona wave, Austria’s largest and most modern algae farm went bankrupt but did now start again under a new owner) [https://youtu.be/zkaXvg7JsLA](https://youtu.be/zkaXvg7JsLA)
Both of them are selling to end users as Food and cosmetics. Guess you can have the Algae as Unique selling point and can get that way a higher price. So they can get enough money to scale such a plant up big enough to get the price down. Would guess no one will buy algae fuel if it is cheaper to use other “biofuel sources” for now.
