Being able to build cars is a huge advantage for Tesla.
The European car markers are still quite behind Tesla when it comes to range and some smart self driving functionalities, over the air upgrades among other things. Only the Tesla at the moment is capable of extending your car’s range through an over the air software upgrade for example by making enhanced power usage optimisations.
Impression is that lately most EVs are Volkswagen here
