Deco has conveyed their interest to Dani Olmo’s agent. The SD wants to lay the foundations now, so the club can make a move when they’re ready to do so. The club’s idea also is to negotiate with RB Leipzig and find a formula.

  1. People here will be defending Laporta no matter what. Laporta hired Deco not based on his abilities, it was by the fact that he’s closely related to Mendes and has ties with Barca. This incompetence will now cost us. Signing an injury prone role specialized player, when we don’t have enough money is hilarious to say the least. Those of us who’ve already recognized Laporta’s incompetence won’t be surprised by this though, hoping that the socios realize before too much damage is done. 

  2. To be honest, I don’t know what Deco and Laporta are trying to do or assemble right now. Realistically speaking, do we really need Dani Olmo? The answer is absolutely NO. The only signings we need this summer are a LW and a CDM, that’s it—only two! And if there’s budget left, the club should sign a RB at Hansi Flick’s request.

    I can clearly see what formula Deco is trying to use, which is to pay his fees in installments. If Dani Olmo doesn’t work out (which is very likely), he’s going to be the next Ferran Torres. We still haven’t paid all the fees to Manchester City, and his value is going to keep depreciating as time goes on. Another problem we’ll face is being stuck with the player for the remainder of his contract until someone offers to buy him.

    The history keeps repeating itself, the same shit business moves by FC Barcelona board.

  4. Deco is the number 1 fraud this club hired. All these ferran torres types of deal. Pure incompetence.

  5. I mean, he isn’t a bad player. Former La Masia too. It’s just, do we really need him? Especially when this will be our second season in a row without a proper DM? And if we do want a left winger, Nico has a release clause, is younger and more valuable, and has good chemistry with Lamine.

  6. I swear if we get Dani Olmo instead of Nico Williams i am supporting Girona next season!
