Imagining Russian smugglers bringing Bic Macs to Switzerland for Profit :))
The BMI has been a bit of nonsense right from its inception. Rather than being a global commodity, the Big Mac is a local product with local ingredients. It’s at most an indication of the respective cost structure of each country in the gastronomy sector.
The costs don’t come from the ingredients but mainly from how expensive every plot of land in Switzerland really is.
Even in small towns the prices are just nuts. You pay premium prices for an inferior product. When the national bank rises interest rates again, the situation will get better.
Is it really overvalued against the USD? Or is the US economy jst horsecrap?
Please consider purchasing power and stop this nonsense of everything in CH being the most expensive in the world
