Nigel Farage is a broken clock | The Daily T Podcast

there could be quite a big debate about proportional representation in the country and you spoke to Daisy Cooper the uh Deputy leader of the liberal Democrats about just that look um liberal Democrats have um supported proportional representation for decades and decades and decades it’s in our Manifesto and quite frankly I think any form of proportional representation would be better than the system that we have um quite frankly I think you know there’s nothing that Nigel farage stands for in terms of his values that I share apart from perhaps this one issue and all I would say is even a broken clock can be right twice a day

  1. LibDems….all they stand for are Yesterday's worries. A party of old, white, rich, liberals fighting the battles of the 90s. No answers for today's problems and oblivious to the fact it is liberal policy aimed squarely at benefiting this group that has caused the pain and difficulties we face in society today.

  2. PR is a broken system of representation as proven throughout Europe with their petty squabling and arguments trying to cobble together some form of coalition only to fall apart at the first disagreement. Our own Northern Ireland Stormont government could not be a better example.

  3. PR only leads to weird coalitions, which should be avoided. The Lib Dems destroyed themselves back in 1914 when, as the ruling government, and as the big anti-war party, they declared war on Germany. Between 1923 and 2010, the Libs were always in opposition, become they do not deserve to be in power.

  4. We’ve all just had a referendum on proportional representation a few years back and the public rejected this – no point badgering on about it again. Big majorities are the way to go.

  5. With the Torygraph desperately trying to discredit Farage at every opportunity, it seems he must be doing something right!
