There have been plans / proposals for a tramlink extension to Sutton for over a decade. Would make a huge difference.
But it’s been killed because no money.
The Thameslink service was going to be 4 trains per hour in each direction after the upgrade of the Thameslink core. But it would have meant that the trains would terminate at Blackfriars. People objectect, so they ended up with keeping just their 2 trains per hour running as through services.
A hill I will die on
The 137 (ideally N137 southern part) should be a tube line, with the northern part one of the bus routes north of Marble Arch
