Asked how they would vote if such a referendum were held now, 64.4% of respondents said they would be in favour of Poland remaining in the EU while only 14.8% would choose to leave. A further 6.7% said they would not take part and 14.1% did not know how they would vote
Ok. Go on Poland. That’s the best thing that can happen. Show that you want to remain EU and respect the EU law or leave.
Waste of money. Overwhelming majority want to stay and PiS know this.
Question to all Polish people here
How popular is PiS really in Poland?
Even the anti-eu party dont believe that poland should leave the EU so they wont leave.
Leaving aside the particulars of this particular case, it is interesting that EU determined social values must be accepted. You might say “like no discrimination”… and yes in this case that is a good thing… but that mandate isnt confined to just that issue. Essentially no member state has sovereignty over their own economic, legal and even cultural identity.
it is getting closer and closer to a full federal government and im not sure that benefits the periphery states who will have no say and only distant representation in a body that may view them as backwards anyway.
It just doesnt feel like there will be much recourse to any decisions or movements made in the core, subsidiarity is clearly just a word….(which may ultimately be the undoing of the whole project)
