  1. Drones will be force multiplier for Taiwan against invading Chinese navy landing crafts.

  2. Eventually, these drones are going to get tired of being blown up, dropping bombs, and turn on us.

  3. For what it’s worth, these are single use small ordinance Switchblade drones that the US military pays waaaaay too much for. Seriously…

    > Taiwan will receive 720 Switchblade missiles and accompanying fire control systems worth $60.2 million

    That’s $83,333 per drone.

The US supplied them to Ukraine and the Ukrainians have preferred the standard quadcopter drones. Quadcopter drones offer more versatility such as recon, target support for artillery, ability to swap out munitions to dedicated task, and the ability to reuse the drones after use. The other benefit is that basic quadcopters cost ~$500-$2,000 per drone and aren’t single use.

  4. Who are the big players in the drone world now a days? Seems like that’s the way warfare is goin.

  5. To be fair a chinese invasion would probably begin with 10′ of thousands of drones anyway

  6. I don’t want war ever. But the world is going to eventually find out how little China is a threat.

  7. This is probably a good strategy, in combination with Taiwan’s own indigenous drones. That said, I’m sure China is going to do same, but on a far larger scale.
