I live in Nairn, and a couple of days ago a man was attacked. Exact details about the attack are few, but apparently it was an axe or machete of some kind. The man that did it is a guy from London named Haseeb Imran. He was in the news recently as he was missing and was believed to be in the Nairn area, and was eventually found (https://www.inverness-courier.co.uk/news/missing-man-found-safe-and-well-say-police-352606/).
Haseeb was also in the news in May after a police raid in Alness found £32,000 worth of cocaine and heroin in he and another man's possession.
Someone I know lives in the building in which this recent attack took place. Apparently there were even "assault rifles" in the flat where the attack took place.
Now, there hasn't been a single mention of this anywhere apart from a local Facebook group. Again, the details are messy but I'm so incredibly pissed off right now. A man who clearly isn't from here, who was recently found in possession of a shit ton of illegal drugs, has almost killed a man with some sort of knife or axe and even possibly had guns in his or his victim's flat. What the actual fuck is going on? Where is the outrage? How has this man even been able to go on living in public after the drug offences? Another rumour that sprouted is that he was on the run from London, and ended up being harboured by a family around here.
We have two primary schools and a high school in Nairn. And we have fucking criminals who aren't even from Scotland with GUNS around. Not a fucking word about this anywhere for god knows what reason. I'm so pissed off man.
