Tensions in Israel rise after war cabinet disbanded | Ukraine pushing Russian troops out of Kharkiv

Political tension is growing in Israel after a key government cabinet that steered the war in Gaza was disbanded by the Israeli prime minister. The United States said the exit of a key member of the war cabinet, Benny Gantz, left Benjamin Netanyahu with no choice but to dissolve it.

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says his forces are gradually pushing Russian troops out of the Kharkiv region after more than a month of fighting in the country’s north-east. The Ukrainian push back comes as a Russian missile strike injured at least 20 civilians in the central city of Poltava.

Passengers stranded in New Zealand after their flight was forced to make an emergency landing soon after take-off are now back in Australia. Virgin Australia has said its Queenstown-Melbourne flight possibly hit a flock of birds, with one of them being sucked into the engine, causing it to burst into flames.

  1. Zelensky wants more weapons and US will gladly supply it. The way he'll get it is – if he says they are progressing well. What happened to peace ?

  2. The US backed and funded situations in Gaza and Ukraine are reaching catastrophic situations for both Israel and Ukraine. We only have to look at what happened to the governments of past countries the US backed and funded.

  3. SBS represents the interests of the NATO war-mongering profiteers – corporate media is the enemy of the people of the world.
