  1. >, June 20 (Yonhap) — The South Korean government said Thursday it will reconsider its stance on arms supply to Ukraine after North Korea and Russia signed a treaty that involves a mutual pledge to provide immediate military assistance if one of them is attacked.

    > […]

    >”We plan to reconsider the issue of arms support to Ukraine,” Chang also said, suggesting a shift in South Korea’s policy of not providing lethal aid to Ukraine.

    >A presidential official said South Korea will maintain strategic ambiguity regarding the types of weapons that could be supplied to Ukraine.

    >”Specific measures will be revealed later, and it will be interesting to see how Russia responds, rather than revealing our plans in advance,” the official told reporters.

    >Air defense systems could be on the list as Ukraine is in desperate need of missile shields to counter Russian air strikes, according to government sources.

  2. Do it.

North Korea has no choice but to tie themselves to a decrepit Russian empire, soon to fall. And their fall will hasten North Korea’s eventual implosion.

  3. South Korea should sign a mutual defense treaty with Ukraine after Ukraine kicks Russia out.

    Meanwhile, send arms to Ukraine!

  4. Why just “hint” at supplying arms to Ukraine? What’s the hold up on South Korea deciding to directly supply Ukraine? Is there political opposition to changing their laws about supplying weapons to countries at war to make Ukraine an exception?

  5. since moscovia is going to help little rocket man, that makes moscovia an ally of little rocket man.

An ally of little rocket man is an enemy of s korea.

  6. This is very good. Please follow through.

I do wish media would stop using the word ‘slam’ in their headlines though. It makes it sound like they’ve gone and verbally knocked the shit out of their opponent when in literally every case it’s more someone’s just said something along the lines of ‘I refute that’. It implies far more action and violence than a mere statement of disagreement and just comes off as corny.

  7. I wonder how NK plans to respond to Ukraine launching attacks onto Russian soil.

  8. Putin really is fucked. Relying on a supplier of ammunition with a massive failure rate, whilst simultaneously pissing off one of the most capable militaries in the world in a country with one of the leading electronics and microprocessor manufacturing industries. South Korean law (possibly constitution?) forbids supplying arms directly to a conflict zone, but they can certainly ‘loan’ to third parties AND their technical capabilities will be very useful for Ukraine, especially with their ingenuity.

  9. Damn, Russians really don’t think two steps ahead, eh? Aligning themselves with NK and providing them with military tech isn’t going to bode well for Russia in the long run and will piss off South Korea. Now, SK will supply weapons to Ukraine. We can all expect K9s show on the battlefield soon.

  10. I guess that’s one potential benefit of the Hitlers visit to NK… South Korea stepping up.
