    By saying she’s “fine” about it, she’s really lowkey signaling that she’s actually emotionally hurt by it and if I was a better boyfriend, I would know that!!!

  6. I want this to be a bit. She starts bringing it up unprompted all the time and just says she’s fine with it. She ramps up the tension up a teeny bit over time, slowly becoming unhinged with this topic she won’t stop bringing up, but always insisting that she’s fine, really. She eventually starts pleading for the interviewer to believe that she’s fine with being called Emma. Then, next time she wins an award, she screams that she’s fine for her whole acceptance speech. The next day she goes back to normal and doesn’t acknowledge anything unusual about her recent behavior

    Seeing how she’s gone by “Emma” after all these years, people are used to it by now. She probably should have just stuck with “Emily J. Stone.”

  18. Personally, if I were a public figure I’d be weirded out about everybody calling me by my real name.
