I will do some freelance work for which I will need to write an invoice. Since it is a one-time gig, I do not want to go through the hassle of starting my own company and all the bureaucracy that comes with it. In other countries, there are services that 'hire' you as an employee and will write the invoice for you, deal with taxes, etc. For instance: https://coolcompany.com/se/en/

Does such a service also exist in the Netherlands? Google search has deteriorated to such an extent that it is impossible to find anything useful these days…

  2. Individuals can also prepare and send invoices. Nothing prohibits that. No need to hire extra services. For tax purposes, include your net income as ROW, resultaat overige werkzaamheden.

  3. You can send an invoice but it must be exempt of BTW (VAT)

  5. I’m not sure if the service you requested exists, but if you want to do it yourself then as an individual you can write a kwitantie. All you need is:
    – number of the kwitantie
    – date of the kwitantie
    – your address
    – address of your customer
    – contact information
    – your banking information
    – a clear description of the goods or services provided. Think: tariffs, description, volume, subtotals, duration, dates
    – total price
    – your signature

    For tax, you simply add that amount to your gross income when you file your 2024 income taxes next year.
