If you’re wondering why the dark stain, the wife wanted it. I was fine with the natural wood finish but I have to keep her happy.
Where did you get the shelf supports from, did it come with the wood too? They are very nice and not seen them before

I’m going to go against the grain (pun intended) and say that I like the dark wood stain. I’m planning on doing the same to my front room this Summer. Any advice, insights or tips much appreciated.
The toilet roll is on the holder the right way round so it’s a 10/10 from me.
Honestly, it looked lovely before the dark wood stain. All that lovely patina hidden again.

Looks great, the floor definitely doesn’t go though, it worked perfectly before staining imo, it’s very dark compared to all of the light wood and white. Real wood floors always seems like a risk with how good modern fake wood floors are, one leak or inconsistent pisser and you may have an issue.
I love it, looks great, I was kinda hoping the big sink would stay and get some wood surrounds though, it seems sinks have gotten so small you end up touching some part of it while washing your hands these days.
Edit: would like to say the new sink looks nice too though!
Had anxiety when I saw the toilet roll basket to the right side of the toilet in the penultimate picture. Glad to see it got moved when the sink was done. Room looks great, well done.
What an incredible upgrade! Really nicely done. I’m with your wife on the stain, the darker floor sets off the natural wood of the other furniture nicely. Love the plants too!
I was loving it until the dark stain went on haha, I’ve got 4 big rooms to do this to in the coming months – did you hire the big sander and edger to do this?
