I thought it would go onwards from Kirchberg Luxexpo to findel. This is a little confusing to me rn.
I am very upset that I will have a free connection from the city to the airport; I much preferred giving 10 euros a minute to my rude taxi driver.
Estimated for 2024. So we can expect it for 2028 then.
Was is not planned that the TGV would arrive at the underground terminal in Findel?
Iirc the tracks and platform are all built already but the project got buried.
Let’s see in which decade we see the state of the art world class latest tech super fast tram reach the airport. Hopefully in my lifetime haha. But it’s good news though. Fuck those 59€ cab rides.
Yay!
I hope up to then they have a wee bit more comfy trams. Because now it aint much to speak of. Even the new belgian shitboxes they call trains are more comfortable.
Is the tram construction pace in line with the industry average?
Findel is just one part of the extension. Another important part will be the large P+R that will be built by A1 and which will be connected to Kirchberg and the city by this tram line.
Am sorry to see the trees being cut next to the Treirer Autobunn. Infrastructurally speaking it of course makes total sense and it’s a logical move.
The Tram is uncomfortable and kinda slow, they could’ve bought a better model and maybe one with (better) suspensions. But nontheless it seems to be quite efficient and popular
But why are they starting just now, it has been planned for ages, was the work put out for tender, or is it just going to an insider that has not been ready for the last 5 years?
Unpopular opinion : The tram seats should be changed. Its hard to sit on the seat for 30 mins!
