Hi, sorry if this is the wrong subreddit, but I found an old holy book and I’d like to ask whether this is a dialect of Latvian language or a completely different language

2. I have an old poetry book from like 1907. I know that one women who wrote it definitely got lynched by fellow Latvians. I just wonder why they always hate their people.
